Allyson Lowis
Company Member
Allyson is a Kalamazoo native and has been dancing since childhood. She attended Hope College where she danced with the pre-professional company, dANCEpROjECt now known as H2, while earning a BA in exercise science and a minor in dance. From there she went on to receive her massage license in Kalamazoo before continuing on to earn her doctor of physical therapy degree from Central Michigan University. Allyson is currently practicing physical therapy at Mindset PT in Texas Corners with a specialization in treating dancers. When she isn’t working she enjoys hiking, playing music, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
Alisa Lindsay
Company Member
Alisa Lindsay is honored to be a member of the Movement Reservoir and is a life-long learner and supporter of dance. She is President of the Board of Directors for Wellspring/Cori Terry and Dancers, and she also dances with Breakin’ Ballet, an all-styles dance company in Kalamazoo. She has been a member of the Chamberlain Dance Company, Atelier Dance Company, and Grand Rapids Dance Ensemble. Alisa trained in ballet, jazz, and modern at the American Dance Academy (Detroit-area), Interlochen Fine Arts Camp, University of Michigan, Community School of Ballet (Ann Arbor), Lansing Community College, and Wellspring Dance Academy. In college, she was on the University of Michigan Dance Team. Alisa is a Professional Engineer with Fishbeck, specializing in environmental engineering and consulting. She is thankful for the unwavering support of her husband, Sean, and their three children.
Emily McKee

Emily McKee is working to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree from Grand Valley State University. She had the opportunity to perform in the 2017, 2018, and 2019 American College Dance Association shows. In recent performance opportunities, she performed and choreographed a solo work titled “Squabble." Emily was in a work choreographed by Lachan Niedbala that performed in Detroit Dance Race as well as Perspectives Dance Concert. She is in her second year of performing with Wellspring Cori Terry and Dancers as well as Movement Reservoir. Emily recently finished a piece on the Freshmen at Grand Valley State University as well as a work on the performing company in Movement Reservoir.
Dominique Ginn
Company Member
Dominique was born and raised in Essexville, Michigan where she began her journey in dance and gymnastics at the age of four. She went on to compete as a gymnast at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo before taking two years off from university to attend Ministry School at her local church. She is currently finishing her bachelor’s degree at WMU in University Studies with focuses in Social Work, Psychology, and Dance. In addition to her participation in Movement Reservoir Dance Company, Dominique has continued her dance journey through taking classes at WMU as well as at Wellspring in Kalamazoo. Aside from dancing, Dominique loves to sit at coffee shops, enjoy the outdoors and spend time with friends and her husband.
Andrew Niedbala
Company Member
Andrew Niedbala joined Movement Reservoir in the Autumn of 2022. Originally from Sterling Heights, Michigan, Andrew graduated from Hope College in 2019 with degrees in dance performance and civil engineering. Since beginning dance lessons at an early age, Andrew has been blessed with opportunities to perform in such places as: Branson, MO; Salt Lake City, UT; Adelaide, SA, Australia; and Paris, France. Since moving to Kalamazoo in 2019, Andrew has joined Wellspring/Cori Terry & Dancers where he is currently in his fifth year. as a company member. He also taught at the Academy of Dance Arts in Portage, where he provided instruction in multiple styles, including tap, jazz, and ballet. He is currently employed in the paint department at Lowe’s, where he has worked since summer 2021, and he is active in his church, Zion Lutheran of Kalamazoo. Andrew has been married to his wife Lachan since August 2022, and they had their first child in May 2023.
Lachan Niedbala
Founder & Artistic Director
Lachan Niedbala (formerly known as Lachan Jaarda) is the Artistic Director and founder of Movement Reservoir. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Hope College in 2019. While at Hope, she worked with choreographers such as Steven Iannacone, Sharon Wong, Matthew Farmer, and many more. Since graduating, she has worked with companies such as Wellspring/Cori Terry and Dancers, CPR Inhale Movement, Chamberlain Dance, Tapestry Dance Company, and Atelier Dance Company. Additionally, she has had the opportunity to take her choreography to Detroit (MI), Chicago (IL), and Paris (France.) Lachan is currently a Company Member with Wellspring/Cori Terry & Dancers where she also teaches their Adult Modern and is the Coordinator for their Youth Performing Ensemble. Additionally, Lachan is passionate about her independent projects. She produced the film series Rooted Movement in 2021, Perspectives Dance Concert in 2022, and formed Movement Reservoir in 2022 to continue producing concerts in the Kalamazoo area. When Lachan isn't dancing, she is usually enjoying a cup of coffee with a friend or spending time with her son (James), her Pug (Manny), and her husband (Andrew.)
